A leading middle‑market private equity firm based in New York is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join its Financial Institutions Group (FIG) investment team. The firm has a strong track record of partnering with management teams to build market‑leading businesses across financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
Support all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, due diligence, financial modeling, and valuation analysis Conduct deep industry and company research across key verticals within financial services Assist in structuring and executing transactions, from initial evaluation through post‑close portfolio management Work closely with senior investment professionals and portfolio company leadership on strategic initiatives and value creation efforts Qualifications:
2–3 years of experience in investment banking, ideally within a FIG coverage group (banking, insurance, asset management, fintech, or specialty finance) Strong analytical and modeling skills, with a solid grasp of capital structure and valuation methodologies Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with comfort interfacing with senior professionals and management teams Highly motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment Senior Level
