POSITION TITLE: BCOS Maintenance Lead

The Maintenance Lead is responsible for implementing, maintaining and continuously improving the maintenance planning and scheduling (MPS) and breakdown elimination (BDE) daily management system (DMS) for their area, to coach line teams to improve technical ability, and to provide a continuity link to other Progressive Maintenance (PM) systems. SHIFT HOURS Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm. This is a 24/7 facility. Candidates must have open availability and be able to work all shifts, including evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays as per the business needs.
Key responsibilities include
Actively participating in line daily direction setting (DDS) meetings and in the execution of the daily plan, including reporting
Planning and scheduling maintenance work
Tracking and reporting maintenance indicator results and in-process measures
Developing improvement plans
Champion and lead the continuous improvement process
Participating in Progressive Maintenance (PM) Pillar work as required, and owning a site PM system as required
About you
Technical experience in food industry min 3 years, required
Mechanical and electrical experience, required
Minimum Technical education, required
Maintenance training and basic integrated work system (IWS) / high performance organization (HPO) training, a plus
Strong organizational and technical skills, required
Priority setting
Strong communication / coaching / training skills
Technical and practical equipment and tool skill
Autonomous Maintenance (AM) Steps 0-4: can teach work point analysis (WPA) and understands line transformations, a plus
Progressive Maintenance (PM) Steps 1-4, a plus
Understanding of problem-solving processes
Maintenance planning and scheduling (MPS) experience, preferred
Breakdown elimination (BDE) experience, preferred
Maintenance management information system knowledge and storeroom skills, preferred
Basic PC skills, required
Knowledge of AM and PM visual standards, a plus
Ability to influence technicians, line leads, and process engineers, as required
Ability to teach, coach, and develop others, required
Have on-the-floor technical credibility with the people doing the work
Have effective communication skills, including the ability to be an active listener, and also the ability to both positively confront and be assertive, when necessary
Day shift with potential call-in, off-shift, weekend support, or flow to shift coverage as the business requires
