BDO’s Asset Management and Private Equity Funds practice is a rapidly growing sector nationwide, focusing on private equity funds, venture capital, SBICs, real estate funds, hedge funds, and other alternative investments. Responsibilities include:
Managing financial statement audits for private equity funds, leading the Financial Services practice, advising clients on internal controls, accounting procedures, and regulatory risks, and maintaining key client relationships. The role involves supervising audit teams, enhancing audit quality, and supporting business development. Key Duties:
Oversee control environment, apply GAAP, SEC, PCAOB, and GAAS standards, ensure compliance, conduct research, manage engagement profitability, and contribute to marketing efforts. Supervisory Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor staff, review work, provide performance feedback, and support team development. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required), MBA or Master’s preferred, CPA certification, five+ years of experience, supervisory experience, and expertise in private equity or venture capital audits are required. Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, technical accounting, and client management skills are essential. About Us:
