Anticipated Hours: Varies, Day, Evening
Anticipated Hours per Week: Less than 25 hrs.
Job Description Summary Instruct students in College Success & Study Skills and College Transfer Success classes according to the NCCCS stated curriculum for ACA 115 and ACA 122. Daytime & evening, face‑to‑face & hybrid class offerings include the Asheville, Madison, and Woodfin campuses. Course offerings may also include high school/dual enrolled students (9‑12 grades) or be conducted at partner high schools.
Duties
Instructional preparation and presentation.
Timely and accurate record keeping and reporting of attendance and grades.
LMS (Moodle) proficiency.
Student academic consultations and assistance.
Other class‑related activities which may be necessary outside of scheduled class hours.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree for ACA 115 or Master’s degree for ACA 122.
Preferred Qualifications
One year successful teaching experience, ideally at A‑B Tech Community College and/or in the NCCCS.
Thorough knowledge of the NCCCS and ABTCC.
Working knowledge of Moodle LMS and Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
Demonstrated ability to motivate college and high school students.
