Principal Engineer
with deep expertise in
Workday Financials
to play a key leadership role in developing and optimizing enterprise financial systems. This role will drive system architecture, lead solution delivery, and provide mentorship within a collaborative, agile technology team. Ideal candidates are experienced engineers who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about delivering robust, scalable, and high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and implementation of Workday Financials solutions across areas such as Procurement and Revenue Management Oversee configuration and customization of Workday applications, integrations, reports, and calculated fields Guide projects from concept to deployment, including estimation, planning, and delivery Develop and review technical designs, ensuring alignment with best practices and business needs Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members Debug and resolve complex integration and application issues Stay updated on Workday platform enhancements and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and vendors to deliver enterprise solutions Lead quality assurance efforts to meet performance, security, and functionality standards Manage ongoing production support and enhancements efficiently Contribute to strategic discussions on system roadmap, demand planning, and capability development Minimum Qualifications: 7+ years
experience with Workday Financials, including configuration, customization, and integration in areas like Procurement and Revenue Management Hands-on experience with Workday integration types:
EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Workday Studio Proficiency in creating custom Workday reports and calculated fields 7+ years
experience integrating Workday with third-party vendors 7+ years
in accounting systems development and support, aligned with
Corporate Accounting 3+ years
mentoring engineering teams Ability to design scalable architectures and troubleshoot complex systems 3+ years
working in agile and waterfall environments Understanding of SDLC and delivering high-quality software on schedule 3+ years
experience with agile tools like
JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence 5+ years
using SharePoint for collaboration Experience with IT ticketing platforms such as
ServiceNow, Quality Center, JIRA Strong debugging and technical skills, self-motivated and results-oriented 3+ years
working with third-party vendors on roadmap and strategy 5+ years
experience collaborating across distributed teams Proficiency with project management tools like
Microsoft Project Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Additional Details
