Job Summary:
Ainsworth is currently looking for Apprentice Refrigeration/HVAC Technicians to join our growing team in Boston. The role involves assisting in the assembling, installing, repairing, and maintaining of HVAC and Refrigeration equipment, kitchen equipment products, and Mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment for commercial customers.
Install HVAC/R-related equipment and components.
Assist Journeyman technicians in the overhaul and servicing of HVAC/R units and systems.
Perform maintenance and repair on refrigeration equipment and systems.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and regulations.
Contribute to the ongoing training and mentoring of apprentices.
Follow the Company’s Quality System operating procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
Massachusetts Apprentice Program for HVAC/Refrigeration.
Boston Union position with Local 537.
Commercial experience, with an understanding of building HVAC and mechanical systems.
Experience in restaurant refrigeration equipment repair/maintenance.
Knowledge of practices, methods, tools, materials, and equipment of the HVAC Refrigeration trade.
Valid Boston driver’s license.
Able to pass security screening and clearance for customer sites.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are an asset.
