Job Summary Recruit, hire, train, and manage store personnel to meet sales goals, control expenses, and safeguard assets while exploring growth opportunities.
Essential Job Functions
Achieve and surpass sales and performance standards
Recruit, interview, and hire qualified employees
Train and develop the sales team
Provide feedback, coaching, and enforce policies
Implement company initiatives effectively
Conduct monthly performance reviews
Recognize and develop talented staff for advancement
Manage daily store operations and loss prevention
Plan staffing schedules
Create a fun, full-service customer experience
Resolve customer issues effectively
Handle bank deposits
Demonstrate and embody the Journeys culture
Job Requirements
Prior retail management experience preferred
1–2 years retail sales experience
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Desire to succeed in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn
Completion of training programs for Manager in Training or equivalent
Ability to work 45 hours/week, including nights and weekends
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
Must be at least 18 years old
