FLSA: Exempt, Full‑Time

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Travel: Up to 20%

About Your Role Hands‑on, full‑time position overseeing, coordinating, and managing project execution of engineering and construction projects.

Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities

Proposal Process Management

Assist business development with scoping projects for proposals.

Manage proposal process for engineering and small construction projects.

Maintain relationships with client project managers.

Prepare scopes of work for subcontractors.

Develop project budgets.

Client Communication and Management

Manage client expectations for deliverables, schedule, and budget.

Provide project leadership in client meetings, maintaining relationships with stakeholders.

Handle client billing and collection.

Escalate issues to management/sales to resolve problems.

Lead schedule discussions to ensure client objectives are met.

Negotiate change requests and budget deviations for scope changes.

Internal Team Management & Supervision

Manage internal resources to meet deliverables on time and within budget, including cost estimate management.

Oversee quality assurance and workflow planning.

Foster relationships with the team and internal management.

Manage procurements for equipment, material, and services.

Facilitate communication with the team and stakeholders.

Lead internal coordination and planning meetings.

Provide project leadership within the internal team.

Project Reporting

Manage accounting and internal reporting tasks, assist with earned value management, and review weekly status reports.

Escalate issues with management for problem solving.

Provide monthly reports for larger, complex EPC projects.

External Stakeholder Communication and Management

Manage vendor, contractor, permitting jurisdiction, and other external stakeholder communications.

Maintain contractor interface during construction bidding and vendor/supplier relationships during bidding.

Assist with other duties as assigned.

Work Hours

Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday.

Hours may vary depending on workload.

Evenings, weekends, or overtime may be required as needed.

Qualifications Education

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Structural or Electrical Engineering required.

Professional Engineering License preferred.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of technical experience as a Chemical, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, or Instrumentation & Controls engineer, preferably in heavy industrial or oil & gas sectors.

Minimum 7 years of experienced in technical project management or comparable leadership; 10 years preferred.

Advanced communication (written, verbal, presentation) skills.

Advanced awareness of workflow and project trade‑offs.

Advanced leadership skills with large or technical teams.

Expert user of technology and software required for daily tasks.

Project scheduling software knowledge (e.g., MS Office Suite, Navisworks).

Strategy for building relationships with team, clients, and stakeholders.

Valid, active driver’s license with good driving record.

Supervisory Expectations

Immediate oversight of team members performing related work.

Independence of Action

Works independently using guidelines; supervisor available for problem resolution.
