Responsibilities We are actively hiring for an

Registered Nurse (RN) PreOp PACU . Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA. Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status at intervals according to facility or health care organization policies and procedures, including assessment of the cardiovascular system, respiratory system and airway management needs, neurological system, hemodynamic stability, pain and comfort needs, and mental status. Interpret information accurately from various noninvasive and invasive monitors. Describe the underlying pathophysiology of commonly encountered disease processes. Describe the physiology associated with various anesthesia techniques and surgical or procedural interventions. Apply relevant scoring systems/discharge criteria for patient transfer (e.g., Aldrete Score, PARSAP, PADSS, White score) as defined by organizational policy. Develop and implement an individualized perianesthesia plan of care. Implement the plan including interventions such as managing patient recovery from anesthesia (general, monitored anesthesia care, regional, local), protecting the patient from injury, communicating patient status, managing pain, administering medications safely, maintaining tissue perfusion, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. Evaluate patient progress and transfer care as needed. Provide accurate, concise hand-off reports and delegate tasks according to legal and professional standards. Document nursing care thoroughly, collaborate with other disciplines, and participate in quality improvement projects. Maintain competencies, pursue professional growth, act as a patient advocate, and ensure privacy and confidentiality. Comply with policies, participate in team activities, demonstrate fiscal responsibility, and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. One year of Preoperative or PACU experience required. Medical/surgical nursing experience preferred. Current state licensure and BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment. ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment. PALS certification required within 90 days if pediatric care is included. USD $48.00/Hr. - USD $52.00/Hr.
