Responsibilities We are actively hiring for a
Registered Nurse (RN) PreOp PACU . Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA. Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status at intervals according to facility or healthcare organization policies and procedures, including assessment of cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological systems, hemodynamic stability, pain, comfort needs, and mental status. Interpret information accurately from various monitors. Describe the underlying pathophysiology of common disease processes. Describe physiology related to anesthesia techniques and surgical interventions. Apply scoring systems/discharge criteria (e.g., Aldrete Score, PADSS) for patient transfer as per organizational policy. Develop and implement individualized perianesthesia care plans, including managing recovery from anesthesia, pain management, medication administration, maintaining patient safety, and providing education. Evaluate patient progress, transfer care as needed, and document care thoroughly. Collaborate with team members, participate in quality improvement, and maintain professional competencies. Act as a patient advocate, ensure privacy, and comply with facility policies. Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing school. Minimum one year of Preoperative or PACU experience. Current state nursing license in good standing. Current BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment. ACLS certification within 90 days of employment. PALS certification required if pediatric care is included, within 90 days of employment.
