Psychiatrist
STGi is currently seeking a Psychiatrist in Hopkinsville, KY.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with the PACT team to provide mental health services to enrolled or unassigned patients. Provide direct care within your scope of practice, adhering to current accepted standards, licensure, certification, and privileges. Offer treatment across the lifespan appropriate to your discipline and the facility setting. Respond to or coordinate responses to medical emergencies as needed. Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications, observing side effects and adverse reactions. Provide psycho-educational information about mental illness, treatment goals, benefits, risks, self-monitoring, and support groups.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS Walk unaided for up to 10 minutes and maintain balance. Respond to medical emergencies within 4 minutes, possibly requiring a fast walk or jog. Perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling. Assist sick or injured patients or staff during emergencies, which may involve lifting or carrying. Visual, auditory, and olfactory senses must be functional, with or without aids. Alternate easily between kneeling and standing. Lift, push, or carry up to 30 pounds. Stand on hard surfaces for extended periods.
QUALIFICATIONS Current, full, active, and unrestricted license in Psychiatry for outpatient care in Kentucky.
