Summary The Manager of Infrastructure Systems is responsible for participating in roadmap, capacity and budgetary planning of infrastructure systems at Teachers. The Manager partners with business leaders throughout Teachers Federal Credit Union to align critical infrastructure to the business needs and manages the server, storage and cloud environments within the Teachers IT Infrastructure organization.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in IT/Engineering or a related discipline or a minimum of eight years directly related experience
Minimum five years system engineering experience required
Minimum three years proven hands‑on engineering experience designing, building and maintaining technology infrastructure required
Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) preferred
Experience with Active Directory setup and configuration, as well as a strong foundation in other directory service technologies including GPO, DNS, DHCP and ADFS preferred
Experience implementing and supporting virtual server infrastructure (VMware or Hyper‑V) and virtual desktop infrastructure
Experience in capacity planning, performance monitoring and maintenance planning to ensure a resilient infrastructure
Job Responsibilities
Design and support advanced server and storage environments
Act as subject matter expert of critical computing platforms including virtualization, storage, AD and similar systems
Research, propose and implement enhancements to the IT infrastructure to meet organizational objectives
Develop, implement and operate all infrastructure systems and other required systems across the entire organization
Monitor system infrastructure performance and resource utilization, ensuring system availability, reliability and resiliency
Partner with key business leaders to identify gaps in services and propose solutions
Adhere to best practices of change management, develop new deployment architecture and process flows for new and existing implementations
Keep up to date on current technologies, industry news, vulnerabilities, standards, and industry trends
Manage vendor relationships and work within the procurement process and budget
