Leads and manages commercial lending activity for Teachers. Qualifications & Education
Bachelor's degree in a related field required. Minimum of ten years of lending experience with at least five years of management experience. Knowledge of lending principles and practices; Federal and state lending regulations and requirements, Collections practices, policies and procedures, bankruptcy and automated lending systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required. Strong oral/written communication, interpersonal, management, negotiating, analytical, problem‑solving and multitasking skills, and detail orientation required. Job Duties
Establishes and manages lending objectives, targets, strategies, and practices to achieve organizational financial, growth, and service goals. Seeks out new business opportunities and develops strategies to expand existing business. Manages the maintenance and servicing of existing commercial loan portfolio. Conducts thorough financial analysis of prospective borrowers, including reviewing income statements, cash flow projections, and credit reports to determine creditworthiness. Designs customized loan packages based on client needs, including loan amount, interest rates, repayment terms, and collateral requirements. Evaluates loan applications, assessing risks, and making informed lending decisions within established credit policies. Monitors existing loan portfolios, reviewing financial updates from borrowers, and taking proactive measures to manage credit risk. Maintains ongoing communication with clients, addressing concerns, and providing exceptional customer service. Prepares loan documentation, coordinating with legal counsel, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements during the loan closing process. Adheres to all regulatory requirements and internal risk and operating policies and procedures. Exclusive employee discount of 0.96% APR on credit card loans and a 1.00% APR on all other loans through Teachers. The good faith range for this position is $195,000 to $255,000 annually. This range is an estimate based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. The salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law. All candidates will be subject to a background check, credit check, and drug test to determine employment eligibility.
