Essential Functions
Information/Data Subject Rights: Collaborating with global team colleagues, operate and continually improve the North American brands’ data subject rights processes, ensuring that all rights are enabled in line with applicable global laws. Provide authoritative advice and guidance to stakeholders on our obligations to enable these rights. Develop and maintain guidance and awareness materials to educate users about requirements and process.
Privacy Incidents: Collaborating with global team colleagues, operate and continually improve the North American brands’ privacy incident management process. Take accountability for coordinating investigations, resolving and escalating privacy incidents across North American brands.
Reporting and Metrics: Collate meaningful and value-driven metrics across all areas of responsibility to monitor and report on compliance outcomes from the above processes. Identifying, raising and tracking remediation activities and process metrics.
Privacy by Design: Strong working knowledge to conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIA) to identify privacy risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Advice and Guidance: Support stakeholders across the global organization with timely, accurate and clear privacy and data protection guidance and advice, escalating to the global Data Protection Officers as necessary.
Miscellaneous, which may include developing and maintaining ongoing documentation, enhancement of specified privacy processes, and assisting with escalations/inquiries.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
A recognized privacy certification such as IAPP CIPP, CIPM or CIPT, ISACA CDPSE, or a willingness to work toward equivalent.
5+ years in a directly-relevant or complementary role with demonstrable data protection exposure.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Office tools including effective use of collaboration features. Exposure to or experience of typical privacy and IT workflow tools such as OneTrust.
Knowledge of U.S. and global privacy laws, regulations and best practices; demonstrated ability to implement and manage compliance programs in complex organizations.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems in creative, efficient and cost effective ways.
An ability to develop professional presentations, reports and business correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
An ability to work collaboratively and successfully in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
An ability to respond effectively and discretely to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Physical Demands Work primarily in a climate‑controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Travel No or very little travel likely.
