Senior Manager, Tax - Ignition (SAP)

is seeking a Senior Manager to join our Tax Ignition practice. This role focuses on consulting and enhancing tax operations for clients using SAP solutions.
Responsibilities
Oversee key business development activities for enterprise resource planning (ERP‑S/4HANA) advisory products, including targeting key C‑level clients, proposing services, and closing opportunities on SAP engagements with a focus on S/4HANA Finance, Controlling, COPA, fixed assets, withholding taxes, intercompany, Datasphere, PaPM, and BW.
Lead highly skilled client and KPMG work teams throughout the project lifecycle by leveraging SAP services and ensuring timely execution of project deliverables.
Establish client value propositions that tie financial metrics to tax operations system improvement.
Participate in the continual development and publication of thought leadership and service offerings.
Assist partners with practice administration including resource allocation, career development of staff, and other people‑management decisions.
Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, and end‑users to understand business requirements and translate them into technical and business specifications.
Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment.
Qualifications
Minimum eight years of recent external management‑consulting experience providing SAP advisory services, specific to SAP Finance, Datasphere, PaPM, BW, SAP HANA‑SQL/ABAP, S/4HANA, PaPM to clients across multiple industries; consulting experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred; a minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
Licensed CPA, JD/LLM, or EA, in addition to others on KPMG’s approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one approved designation/credential.
Demonstrated experience developing relationships with senior clients in a professional services environment.
Ability to travel up to 80%.
