Summary
The Team Leader/Lead Cashier is responsible for all store activities in the absence of salaried store management. This role requires open to running the cash register for part of the shift, exemplifying company culture, and delivering aggressive customer service. The Team Leader will develop expertise in company culture, merchandising, shrink control, and operational aspects of the store, continuously focus on career development toward senior management, and become knowledgeable of local market dynamics that influence business. The role will instill CNRG’s Mission and Values in all associates and ensure the entire store operates according to CNRG’s operational guidelines. Responsibilities
Exemplify and ensure CNRG’s Mission and Values remain forefront in daily business and keep all associates informed of store and company expectations and news. Define and demonstrate aggressive customer service as part of total store operations to exceed customer expectations. Supervise other associates as assigned and maintain a high level of enthusiasm, commitment, and energy. Provide appropriate solutions to customer questions and keep up-to-date on all current programs, company procedures, and communicate them to all team players. Properly coordinate merchandise orders to meet sales trends and customer demand. Complete cycle counts in a timely manner and reconcile any inventory discrepancies. Demonstrate leadership and adhere to CNRG’s Mission, Vision, and Values. Train all incoming new associates in product knowledge, selling skills, and customer service. Maintain the appearance of the sales floor and stock areas, including stocking product. Create merchandise displays to improve sales and ease of shopping. Work with other associates to complete tasks and achieve budgeted goals. Clean the store and exterior areas of the facility. Help identify and correct safety problems or hazards. Complete price shops and price changes in a timely manner. Must be certified in all areas in the store, including but not limited to inside and outside forklifts, DOT, gate, receiving, and service desk. Other functions as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications
Demonstrate leadership and problem‑solving skills, manage with limited supervision, and possess strong oral/written communication skills. Understand aggressive customer service and be team‑oriented with good management and organizational skills. Interpret data presented in statistical or numerical form and use it effectively in assessing and coordinating merchandise and operational aspects of store operations. Detail oriented and handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Climb ladders, reach, bend, twist, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs., handle large odd‑shaped items, and stock items in overhead areas. Work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Benefits
