Senior Power BI Developer Laurel, MD

Responsibilities: Derive business processes, analyze user needs, assist in requirements definition, design browser-based interfaces, and design and conduct usability testing Design, develop, and maintain advanced data visualization solutions using Microsoft Power BI. Creating complex reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights and support business decision-making. Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements, build data models, and ensure data accuracy and performance. Utilize Power BI, DAX, and Power Query, and a deep understanding of data sources such as Oracle and SQL databases, Azure services, and APIs. Optimize data visualizations for clarity, efficiency, and scalability while ensuring security and compliance. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions are key. Requirements: Minimum of 6 years of direct Interaction/Interface design experience in User-Centered Methods and User Analysis Team Oriented and can work independently Deep knowledge of database management and data modeling Expertise in DAX, SQL, and other analytical tools Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences Experience leading and mentoring BI development teams This is a hybrid work schedule, 2 days remote with 3 days onsite per week.
