SUMMARY
The Corporate Controller will be a key member of our Client Advisory Services (“CAS”) team, responsible for overseeing and managing the financial reporting and advisory services for our diverse client base. This role involves providing strategic financial insights, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and enhancing clients’ financial operations
RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Facing
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, develop an understanding of client needs, and deliver tailored advisory services
Design, review and oversee weekly and monthly client deliverables including monthly financial reporting packages, forecasts and projections, and other analyses as needed
Present client deliverables in periodic meetings to stakeholders
Provide strategic financial advice and insights to clients, helping them to make informed business decisions and improve their financial performance
Evaluate and improve clients' internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial information
Oversight and assistance with indirect tax compliance as required
Internal
Work closely with members of the CAS team and across the firm to deliver integrated services to clients
Overall day-to-day management of internal and off-shore accounting staff to ensure financial reporting accuracy and on-time processing of client information
Assist with internal scheduling to satisfy client needs and department goals
Evaluate and make recommendations for internal process and technology improvements to improve efficiency and overall client experience
Stay abreast of the latest accounting standards, regulatory changes, and best practices to provide clients with best-in-class service
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, intermediate to advanced Excel)
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with Quickbooks Desktop, Xero, Netsuite, Sage Intacct, and other accounting ERP systems are a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
Outstanding organization and project management skills
Highly motivated and takes initiative for professional growth and development
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to travel to client locations, which may include occasional overnight stays
Ability to work overtime, as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Active CPA preferred
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in progressive accounting roles
Experience in public accounting and corporate roles is a plus
