Henry Ford Providence Hospital, formerly Ascension Providence Hospital, seeks a part-time Program Director for its ACGME-accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship Program. The role involves 0.5 FTE (20 hours/week), including 0.3 FTE administrative duties and 0.2 FTE clinical preceptorship in fellows' clinic. The Program Director oversees program administration, including recruitment, instruction, supervision, evaluation, and record-keeping for accreditation. The program has 11 fellows. Responsibilities
Develop and implement educational goals and objectives for residents at each training level and rotation. Monitor resident participation in Quality Improvement projects and evaluate their completion. Distribute objectives and expectations to residents and faculty. Collaborate with the Program Coordinator and Associate Program Directors to assess program performance. Create schedules and curricula aligned with ACGME standards. Promote research and scholarly activities among fellows and faculty. Recruit high-caliber residents following institutional policies. Supervise and evaluate faculty annually using resident feedback. Establish policies for patient care supervision and authority lines. Maintain resident evaluation records and provide feedback at least semi-annually. Prepare final evaluations and recommendation letters for graduating residents. Monitor resident well-being and address stress or disciplinary issues. Ensure program compliance with accreditation standards and institutional policies. Participate in program reviews, meetings, and committees. Oversee curriculum, resident assignments, and medical student supervision. Engage in professional development and organizational memberships. Qualifications
Completed an accredited Internal Medicine residency. Completed an accredited Gastroenterology fellowship. Board Certified in the specialty. Preferred: 1-2 years of faculty or Associate Program Director experience. Interest in teaching and leadership. Additional Details
