Insight Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to join our team.
This role involves performing vascular ultrasound procedures in outpatient and inpatient settings. The ideal candidate will have expertise in arterial duplex, venous duplex, ankle-brachial indices (ABIs), renal vascular ultrasound, carotid ultrasound, and vein mapping for venous reflux. These duties are to be performed confidentially, in accordance with the mission, values, and behaviors of Insight Hospital. Employees are expected to provide high-quality care, service, and kindness to patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and guests. DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities: Operate vascular ultrasound equipment (e.g., Zonare, Siemens Sequoia, Accuson) to produce high-quality images for arterial and venous duplex exams, ABI assessments, renal vascular ultrasound, carotid ultrasound, and vein mapping for venous reflux. Position and handle patients professionally and carefully, ensuring their comfort and safety. Be aware of patients’ physical and emotional conditions, reporting adverse signs to physicians or supervisors. Complete and charge all exams, ensuring efficient workflow, timely service, and meeting patient needs. Document all exams accurately, including clinical info and patient history, and ensure proper identification of images. Transmit images and documents to PACS. Interact professionally with patients, visitors, and staff regarding ultrasound services. Perform other duties as assigned. JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: High School Diploma required. Completion of an accredited program in Vascular Ultrasound or Medical Sonography required. Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification preferred. Knowledge of arterial duplex, venous duplex, and ABI procedures. Skills: Proficient in operating vascular ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images. Strong attention to detail in capturing and documenting findings. Excellent communication skills focused on patient interaction and customer service. Ability to collaborate with healthcare teams and assist with patient scheduling and flow. Abilities: Effectively position patients and adapt techniques based on individual needs. Remain alert and responsive to patients’ physical and emotional conditions during procedures. Multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Maintain accurate records and transmit images to PACS. Note:
