Position Summary The Senior Accountant will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, supporting month-end close, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, and assisting with process improvements. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Prepare and review balance sheet and income statement schedules.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Assist in preparing financial statements, management reports, and audit schedules.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.
Review AP/AR transactions for accuracy and compliance.
Assist with cash flow management, banking activity, and treasury functions.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, and management to support business goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
CPA or working toward CPA strongly preferred.
3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
