Job Summary The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is seeking an Ultrasound Technician (Per‑Diem) to join our team of professionals.
Responsibilities
Provide guidance, operation, and instruction to medical students on the principles and techniques of ultrasound imaging using ultrasound technology.
Collaborate with faculty members during ultrasound training sessions, demonstrating proper techniques and troubleshooting technical issues.
Assist in the enhancement of ultrasound curriculum, ensuring alignment with educational objectives and best practices.
Maintain and monitor the quality of ultrasound training sessions to ensure students receive a high standard of education.
Manage and organize ultrasound equipment and supplies, ensuring availability and functionality for training sessions.
Maintain accurate records of student performance, training sessions, and equipment maintenance activities.
Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and teaching methodologies, participating in relevant training and workshops.
Operate ultrasound equipment and support simulations to create a virtual healthcare setting.
Assist Simulation Specialists and faculty in the use of ultrasound technology for live and simulated teaching activities.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification or equivalent.
Work Schedule Per‑dime, schedule varies.
Advertised Salary $34.00 per hour.
Pre‑Employment Requirements Criminal Background Check.
