Director of Psychology

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Director of Psychology for the J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center (JIRDC). The Director coordinates behavior analysis and support services, including assessment and treatment with assistance of Senior/Supervising Psychologist staff, to approximately 220 residents with significant intellectual disorders and related developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. The Director provides staff training and consultation, consults center-wide, coordinates clinical supervision of staff, supports applied research, and coordinates internship support. The Director directly supervises four staff including three Senior/Supervising Psychologists and one Office Assistant. Responsibilities

Coordinate behavior analysis and support services, including assessment and treatment for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Provide staff training, consultation, and center-wide expertise in behavioral and psychological services. Administer clinical supervision of staff, review licensure and certification requirements, and support professional development. Support and disseminate applied research on improving understanding and treatment for people with intellectual disorders. Coordinate support of interns from high schools, colleges, and universities. Qualifications

Minimum education and experience: Post-doctoral experience in coordination/supervising a psychological services program that included advance clinical treatment, consultation, training, and research. Licensure in psychology in North Carolina is required. Preference for certification in behavior analysis. Shift Hours

1st shift (typically 8:00 am – 5:00 pm), Monday–Friday with some night and weekend work. Candidates considered while completing licensure requirements. Salary

Salary range: $92,184.00 – 152,104.00. EEO Statement
