Assistant Store Manager – Part Time (PT) – Lids Join Lids, the largest licensed sports retailer in North America, to manage a high‑energy retail store in Indianapolis, IN. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will drive sales, support associates, maintain visual standards, and contribute to store profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Drive sales growth by delivering excellent customer service and meeting company objectives.

Provide consistent, documented performance appraisals and feedback to associates.

Adhere to visual merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness guidelines.

Maintain professional appearance in line with dress code.

Manage store expenses, protect assets, and adhere to inventory policies.

Help prepare store schedules to control wage cost.

Accurately document store inventory and manage receipts, transfers, and price changes.

Open and close the store following operations procedures.

Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising associates.

Support and follow all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Communicate effectively with all levels of staff.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent plus at least one year of relevant experience.

Proven ability to achieve sales results while minimizing loss.

Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with retail software.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb a ladder, and work with hands overhead; standing for up to 100% of work time.

Capability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in retail management or a related field.

Compensation & Benefits Assistant Store Managers can earn up to 25% above local minimum wage based on experience. Salary may vary by skill, experience, and location. Part‑time positions offer monthly store sales bonuses and a 40% employee discount.
