Accounts Payable Specialist

An accounts payable materials specialist is the first resource for vendors with questions regarding accounts payable invoices for concrete, rock, and rebar. This position requires good communication skills within the entire organization, accounting department, and outside the company. Manage time effectively to get work completed on schedule and the ability to prioritize workload.

Major Functions/Responsibilities:

1. Manage the DataServ automation process to become company expert.
2. Processing Accounts Payable invoices for concrete, rock, and rebar.
3. Match invoice quantities/unit pricing and make approvals.
4. Receiving and returning Accounts Payable calls.
5. Reviewing and processing AP Vendor Statements.
6. Purchase order control.
7. Backup for expense reports and other payables positions.

Qualifications:

1. Associates degree in Accounting and/or 2 years experience in accounts payable.
2. Must possess strong organization skills.
3. Must have good phone etiquette.
4. The ability to function effectively in a highly entrepreneurial environment, both as a team player and independently.
5. Advanced computer skills.
