We are seeking two highly skilled and innovative Executive Chefs to lead our culinary teams and drive excellence in our restaurant operations.
Job Description: As an Executive Chef at Kovai Restaurants LLC, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our culinary offerings and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. You will lead our kitchen teams, oversee menu development, manage food costs, and inspire creativity in the kitchen. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a culinary journey that celebrates tradition while embracing innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Menu Development: Create and curate innovative and authentic South Indian menu items that showcase the rich flavors and diverse culinary traditions of the region.
Kitchen Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants, to ensure a cohesive and skilled team.
Quality Control: Maintain rigorous quality control procedures to ensure consistency in food preparation, portioning, plating, and presentation.
Food Cost Management: Manage food costs, inventory, and procurement, implementing cost-saving measures while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Culinary Creativity: Stay current with culinary trends and techniques, infusing creativity and innovation into menu offerings.
Hygiene and Safety: Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Collaboration: Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure a seamless flow of operations and exceptional dining experiences.
Vendor Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to source the finest ingredients and products.
Qualifications
Culinary degree or equivalent certification is required; additional certification in South Indian cuisine is advantageous.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive culinary experience, with at least 2 years in an executive chef or head chef role.
Strong culinary skills and a deep understanding of South Indian cuisine and flavors.
Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities.
Proven track record of menu development and maintaining high food quality standards.
Knowledge of inventory management, cost control, and food safety regulations.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
