Kovai Restaurants LLC is a dynamic and rapidly growing restaurant group dedicated to bringing the authentic and diverse flavors of South Indian cuisine to the United States. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Floor Manager to lead our front-of-house team and ensure a seamless and exceptional dining experience for our valued guests.
Job Description As a Floor Manager at Kovai Restaurants LLC, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant's front-of-house. You will lead the front-of-house team, manage guest services, and ensure the restaurant operates efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, food runners, and hosts/hostesses. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and growth.
Guest Service:
Ensure exceptional customer service by greeting guests, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues or concerns. Set a high standard for service quality and professionalism.
Reservation Management:
Coordinate and manage table reservations to optimize seating capacity and guest flow.
Floor Coordination:
Oversee table assignments, seating arrangements, and guest services to ensure smooth and efficient operations during peak hours.
Quality Control:
Monitor food presentation and service quality to ensure that all guest expectations are met or exceeded.
Training and Development:
Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and product knowledge.
Performance Evaluation:
Conduct regular performance evaluations for front-of-house staff, providing constructive feedback and recognizing outstanding contributions.
Guest Feedback:
Actively solicit and respond to guest feedback, using it to continuously improve service and resolve issues.
Inventory Management:
Collaborate with management to manage inventory levels of front-of-house supplies, including utensils, linens, and guest amenities.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all restaurant policies and health and safety regulations.
Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of restaurant management experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong understanding of front-of-house operations, guest services, and dining etiquette.
Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and customer-oriented environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and restaurant management software is a plus.
