Medical Intensive Care Unit Our 24-bed adult MICU cares for the most complex critically ill medical patients. MICU nurses are clinical experts in managing complex medical problems, including GI bleeds, respiratory failure, renal failure, liver failure, CHF, COPD, DM, etc. Nurses utilize advanced therapies such as continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), post‑cardiac‑arrest hypothermia protocol, and hemodynamic monitoring. The MICU has received the Gold Beacon Award for Nursing Excellence from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN).

Key Responsibilities As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families ranging from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify potential complex problems in specific patient populations, critically analyze trends and changes in patient status, and plan appropriate interventions either directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications

ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited school of nursing required.

Minimum of two years of critical care experience preferred.

Active DC RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required.

Salary Range USD $41.78 - $63.66 per year.
