US Fertility
Position Overview
Walter Reed is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dynamic laboratory technologist who will provide nurse case management services for fertility treatments. The role involves working closely with physicians, medical providers, and patients in a fast‑paced environment.
Location & Compensation Bethesda, MD – Base pay range: $20.00/hr – $24.00/hr.
Responsibilities
Shipping, receiving and disposition of frozen samples
Examines and processes specimens for routine semen analysis
Performs all tests within the endocrine laboratory accurately and efficiently
Conducts concentration and motility counts; performs histological techniques to identify leukocytes, immature germ cells, and morphology
Processes semen for ART procedures and intrauterine inseminations (IUIs)
Performs daily/monthly quality control procedures for media and equipment used in the andrology laboratory
Conducts semen cryopreservation
Ensures proper sample collection, delivery and identification (chain of custody)
Assists laboratory personnel with services in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws and guidelines to ensure laboratory accreditation
Qualifications
Minimum of one year laboratory experience
Generalist license or Hematology/Chemistry license
Experience with a chemistry analyzer strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree in biology, science or related field; MT/ASCP certification or equivalent
Experience in tissue culture and/or semen processing is a plus
