Electrical Engineer IV

The role requires an experienced Electrical Engineer who will represent the firm in all client, contractor, architect, and project team interactions, supervise, coordinate, and assign various electrical projects to the team.
Job Responsibilities As an Electrical Engineer IV, you will be responsible for providing trade‑specific system design: layout, calculations (utilizing appropriate software), and coordination with the designs of other trades (architectural, engineering/internal and external).
Participates in various trade organizations and prepares presentations.
Manages CAD/BIM and other technical staff assigned to particular projects or tasks, as directed by senior engineers and senior designers.
Assists with employee reviews as requested.
Estimates construction costs and evaluates feasibility using Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM).
Writes engineering proposals under the direction of a senior engineer or senior designer for projects.
Job Requirements Someone with a history of working with Critical Facilities projects would be a good fit for this dynamic role.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Mechanical, Plumbing or Electrical discipline is required.
7+ years of relevant experience in the MEP field.
EIT certification is required.
PE is preferred or alternate certification (Plbg – CPD, BMS – CEM, FLS – NICET & NFPA).
Demonstrates ability to make proper system selections with or without supervision of senior designer/senior engineer.
Demonstrates ability to understand the work of the other trades.
Exhibits thorough understanding of applying LEED principles to building design.
Possesses expertise in trade‑specific design and calculation software.
Possesses good dispute resolution skills.
Possesses sufficient knowledge to prepare red marks for CAD personnel to pick‑up knowledge to read, review and evaluate floor plans, sections and elevations and visualize three‑dimensional space in building construction.
