Maintenance Supervisor
Supervise assigned maintenance staff and maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of facility. Oversee Maintenance Workers and, when needed, perform repairs requiring carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical skills. Assist the Facility Manager with preventative maintenance of the boiler/domestic hot water system and conduct periodic maintenance and inspection of elevators, sprinkler systems, fire alarm system and fire extinguishers. Arrange for and oversee outside contractors as directed, ensure delivery of fuel, receive and store deliveries of maintenance/office supplies, lift boxes and move furniture as needed. Be a member of the fire safety team and participate in fire drills. On call for emergencies, which may require early or late hours.
Hours 37.5 hours per week – Tuesday to Saturday, 9am–5:30pm.
Qualifications
Five years’ experience in building maintenance; experience in trades is helpful.
Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Ability to use independent discretion and judgment.
Certificate of fitness for Fire Safety Director preferred.
High school diploma or GED required.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Valid driver's license preferred.
Vaccination preferred but not required.
