Job Overview
Position: Non‑tenure Track Assistant Research Professor – Kleiman Lab, Department of Psychology, Rutgers University-New Brunswick. This role focuses on clinical psychology with a specialty in smartphone‑based real‑time monitoring and statistics.
The position is fully grant‑funded. Salary range: $82,110 – $93,588. The final salary offer will depend on qualifications, experience, and departmental grant funds.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain an active research program focused on smartphone‑based real‑time monitoring and related analytical techniques.
Publish peer‑reviewed manuscripts in high‑impact journals and present findings at scientific conferences.
Lead and supervise research activities, including recruitment of study participants, data collection, adherence to IRB protocols, management of research staff, and mentorship of undergraduate, post‑baccalaureate, and graduate students.
Secure extramural grant funding and demonstrate potential for future funding.
Qualifications
Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or a related social science field.
Established, active research program with publications related to smartphone‑based real‑time monitoring.
Successful history (or demonstrable potential) of obtaining extramural grant funding.
Strong skills in data management and statistical analysis, including advanced knowledge of R and Mplus.
Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and promote strong departmental and interdisciplinary connections.
Experience leading and supervising research labs, managing staff, and mentoring students.
