Locum MD (Medical Doctor);DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Emergency Medicine

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering emergency medical services, assessing patient conditions, and coordinating care with healthcare teams. Your expertise will play a crucial part in ensuring patients receive timely and effective treatment in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

Provide emergency medical care to patients in a timely manner

Assess and diagnose patients' medical conditions

Administer treatments and medications as necessary

Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop patient care plans

Maintain accurate and detailed patient recordsCommunicate effectively with patients and their families

Participate in continuing education and professional development

Ensure compliance with medical protocols and regulations

Requirements

Medical Doctor (MD) or Osteopathic Doctor (DO) degree

Mid-senior level experience in emergency medicine

Valid medical license to practice in the state of Jefferson

Strong clinical and diagnostic skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Ability to work effectively under pressure

Experience in patient care within an emergency department setting

Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards

Schedule: 7a-7p or 7p-7a

No call shifts

Patient Volume: ~8 per day, ~3k annually

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
