Location:

Inn at Perry Cabin , Eastern Shore, Maryland – a Forbes 4‑star resort featuring a Pete Dye‑designed golf course, a spa, a fleet of sailboats, and a zero‑edge swimming pool.

Responsibilities

Oversee overall operations, strategy, and growth of the resort.

Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan.

Identify market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.

Set long‑term goals and objectives and work towards achieving them.

Lead a diverse team of department heads and staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.

Provide guidance, mentoring, and development opportunities to team members.

Encourage teamwork and open communication across all departments.

Oversee all operational departments including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, banquets, recreational facilities, spa, and more.

Ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations by implementing efficient processes and procedures.

Monitor service quality to maintain the highest standards of guest satisfaction.

Create and manage the resort's budget, allocating resources appropriately.

Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Drive revenue generation through strategic pricing, upselling, and innovative offerings.

Foster a guest‑centric culture, prioritizing personalized service and exceptional experiences.

Address guest concerns and feedback promptly, striving for continuous improvement.

Implement initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.

Ensure the maintenance and enhancement of the resort's physical assets, including accommodations, amenities, and common areas.

Implement sustainability initiatives to minimize the resort's environmental impact.

Oversee strong management of capital projects.

Stay updated on local and national regulations related to the hospitality industry and ensure compliance.

Maintain health and safety standards for guests and staff.

Qualifications

Proven track record as a General Manager or Managing Director of a hotel or resort.

Independent luxury and lifestyle experience required, preferably at a high‑volume 4 or 5 star resort.

Minimum 7 years of hospitality experience with progressive growth.

College degree or a combination of education and experience equivalent to a college degree, preferably in Hospitality or Travel & Tourism Management.

Exceptional leadership and communication skills.

Problem‑solving abilities and critical thinking skills.

Commitment to meeting all deadlines.

Flexibility to adapt to varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Commitment to maintaining a positive and organized work environment.

Seasonal experience preferred.

Compensation $225,000 – $250,000 base.

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
