in the School of Engineering. Faculty play a critical role in training “Champions for Christ.” Members are expected to model the university’s values, engage students with a biblically informed Christian worldview, and foster an inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities
Teach courses in the Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology Program, focusing on Electrical Systems, Analog and Digital Electronics, Industrial Automation & Control, Embedded Systems, and PLC Fundamentals.
Maintain the integrity of course and instructional programs, ensuring alignment with Liberty University’s mission and vision.
Create an academic atmosphere of mutual respect and consideration for individual dignity.
Assist in curriculum development for both residential and distance education, and engage in research, scholarship or creative activity as required.
Possibly provide service to students and the broader professional discipline.
Qualifications
An earned master’s degree from an accredited institution in electrical engineering or a related field.
At least 18 graduate credit hours in the specific teaching field.
Demonstrated expertise in Electrical Systems, Analog and Digital Electronics, Industrial Automation & Control, Embedded Systems, and PLC Fundamentals.
Teaching experience or ability to teach at the undergraduate level.
Commitment to a Christian worldview consistent with Liberty University’s mission.
Academic Position & Employment
Contract Length : 10 months (30 load hours)
Release from Contracted Teaching Load : Determined each semester by the Dean, per the Faculty Handbook.
Target Hire Date : 2025‑10‑15
Time Type : Full time
Location : Lynchburg – In Office
