Calvary Chapel Schools (CCS) was established to meet the educational, social, and spiritual needs of the children of Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa. CCS is a ministry of CCCM, building up Christian leaders in mind, body, and soul through Biblical truth, character development, and strong academic pursuits, enabling students to serve and enjoy Christ and their community.

Position Summary The Vice Principal of Guidance & Curriculum serves as a key member of the high school’s leadership team, overseeing academic programming, curriculum development, and student guidance. This role ensures that all students receive a Christ-centered, rigorous education that prepares them for college, career, and a life of faith. The Vice Principal partners closely with faculty, staff, and parents to support student success, while upholding the mission and values of the school.

Responsibilities Guidance & Student Support

Understand that it is a privilege to serve the Lord in vocational ministry and that those who serve God on staff at CCCM are expected to embrace a high biblical, Christ-like standard of conduct and lifestyle, both public and personal.

Oversee specialized programs, including the STEAM, Computer Science, and Bilingual Certificates.

Supervise processes for A–G course audits, AP audits and exams, dual enrollment programs.

Address academic dishonesty cases in partnership with faculty.

Curriculum Leadership & Academic Oversight

Chair or actively participate in the Curriculum Committee.

Oversee curriculum guide development and textbook adoption.

Design and facilitate professional development for curriculum and instruction.

Monitor weekly student grade checks and ensure interventions are implemented.

Conduct weekly TeamUp calendar checks to support academic consistency.

Coordinate SSAT meetings and provide academic support for students with learning needs.

Plan and host the annual Christian College Fair.

Manage administration of AP and PSAT exams.

Partner with support staff on SSAT meetings to ensure student needs are met.

Supervise the Library Assistant in providing academic resources to students and faculty.

Qualifications

A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and commitment to the mission of Christian education.

Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field (preferred).

Experience in academic administration, curriculum development, or student guidance.Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to lead teams effectively.

Demonstrated ability to support students’ academic, spiritual, and personal growth.
