This role provides strategic oversight of two Design Engineering directorates, ensuring consistent engineering processes and development across the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division. The position reports to the SDS Division’s Engineering Homeroom Vice President and directly manages two Design Engineering Directors. Responsibilities
Direct implementation of integrated design engineering processes across the SDS Division, driving consistency across program/product teams nationally and at subcontractor locations. Oversee performance management for direct reports and an organizational matrix of 500‑1,500 staff. Allocate and manage the directorate indirect budget for maximum program impact. Create and deploy staff training campaigns, prioritizing program execution and staff technical/professional development. Own technical compliance enforcement and continuous improvement of domain-related Principles and Operating Practice (PrOP). Oversee promotion, merit/bonus processes for subordinate technical staff, ensuring consistency with sector schedule and guidelines. Serve as delegation of authority (DOA) to FHR VP for program, division and/or sector activities as directed. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 10 years of related experience, or Master’s degree with 8 years of related experience. Formal management/leadership experience in engineering. Extensive CAM/P&L experience. Three or more years of experience leading a technical, complex program effort. Experience developing and administering budgets and performance standards. Experience implementing technologies associated with efficient and sustainable production processes. U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance (investigation within last five years) and ability to obtain program special access. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in engineering or a related scientific discipline. Experience establishing an organization or leading major change initiatives. Active Top Secret clearance. Experience with ICBM or complex aerospace systems. Full lifecycle program execution experience. Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience. Design Engineering/Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) experience. Prior experience interfacing with prime contractor site leads and USAF leadership personnel. Experience leading performance of tasks on schedule, at cost, and achieving all requirements as project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager. Benefits

Standard work schedule is a 9/80 (nine‑hour days Monday–Thursday, alternate Fridays off). Primary salary range:
