Our Retail Store Managers play a critical role in building and leading teams to consistently deliver on our brand promise. As a CVS Health Store Manager (SM), you will be a single‑unit retail leader responsible for leading your team to achieve operational and service excellence. The SM will achieve success through managing, inspiring and coaching their direct reports, consisting of Front Store (FS) crew and FS management positions, and through effective communication, SOP adherence, staffing management, and schedule planning. A model for all, the SM will demonstrate CVS Health’s Heart At Work behaviors, HelpingWithHeart Actions, and will lead their team to do the same.

Primary Roles And Responsibilities

Cultivate and maintain a healthy talent pipeline, including oversight of front store and cross‑trained colleague performance and development, contributing to career progression, involving hiring, training, performance management, and where required, termination of employment.

Ensure appropriate staffing by scheduling to demand, consistently creating and publishing the schedule three weeks in advance, and maintaining financial stewardship of store labor spending.

Improve store performance measures (sales, service, loyalty, shrink, compliance, etc.) by coaching colleagues and working within the #OneTeam dynamic to identify and address barriers to operation.

Maintain a safe and high‑quality working environment that complies with all regulatory and company standards.

Oversee timely and quality training of front store and cross‑trained colleagues.

Conduct regular check‑ins with all direct reports to track business goals and maintain team engagement.

Maintain a strong working relationship with Rx DL, Pharmacy Manager, pharmacy team and any other in‑store teams (e.g., Minute Clinic, etc.) to foster a #OneTeam mentality and support a holistic total store staffing pipeline.

Partner with FS DL to establish store priorities, implement new initiatives, and engage all colleagues.

Act as an ambassador for CVS Health through professional behaviors and positive engagement within the community.

Education

High school diploma or general equivalent education (GED).

Required Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age.

Completion of all required training for current role within required timeframe.

High school diploma or GED.

1–3 years of prior relevant work experience.

Work flexible schedules including early morning and evening shifts according to store needs; two closing shifts per week and four weekend shifts per month are required at a minimum.

Lift and exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly to move objects including overhead lifting.

Ability to stand and walk for an extended amount of time.

Preferred Qualifications

Pharmacy Technician Licensure.

Bachelor’s degree.

Pay Range $63,000.00 – $105,000.00
