Law firm is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their BD & Marketing team in the Boston office.
Responsibilities
Partner with practice leaders and attorneys to develop and execute business development and marketing strategies
Drive new client opportunities and enhance visibility through targeted campaigns, events, and thought leadership
Manage the end‑to‑end pitch and proposal process, including RFP responses and presentation preparation
Oversee BD team, including an RFP Specialist and BD Specialist
Support partner business planning, client relationship growth, and practice group strategic initiatives
Manage rankings, surveys, and profile‑raising opportunities (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500)
Assist with lateral attorney integration and practice group budgeting
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
At least 7+ years of BD/marketing experience in a law firm or professional services environment required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and marketing technology tools required
Proven ability to develop and execute strategic BD plans and coach attorneys
Strong leadership, analytical, and project management skills
