The Speech Therapy department at Scripps Mercy Hospital is eager to welcome a Speech Language Pathologist to their tight-knit department. This team serves in both the in-patient and out-patient setting seeing a variety of neurological and dysphagia cases. They take a collaborative approach to patient care and partner closely with other rehab disciplines. The ideal candidate is passionate about learning and excited to make a difference in the ethnically diverse community of San Diego. The Speech Pathologist provides evaluation, assessment, prognosis, treatment and education to patients and clients through a continuum of care according to the therapist's respective licensure/registration/certification, Code of Ethics, Federal/State regulations, JCAHO/UMQC and Care Center policies and procedures. Performs competencies as outlined in unit specific competency assessment tools. Demonstrates age specific care as established for area and job title. *$4K New Hire Incentive, $3K Relocation if moving from 100+ miles The following are not eligible for hiring incentives: Internal candidates Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter) Must remain in original department/specialty Must remain in original Job Title Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.
