Seeking a General Manager in Houston, TX who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of a specific division, lab, or facility, including financial performance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. They manage teams, implement strategic plans, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. Core Responsibilities: Financial Performance:
Manage P&L, budgets, and revenue targets. Operational Leadership:
Oversee day-to-day operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization. Team Management:
Lead and develop teams, including hiring, training, and performance management. Customer Relations:
Build strong customer relationships, ensure timely responses to needs, and promote additional services. Quality and Compliance:
Maintain quality systems, ensure compliance with industry standards, and drive continuous improvement. Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives. Examples of Specific Responsibilities: Continuous Improvement: Focus on improvement projects in business and physical processes, with special attention to safety and quality programs. Quality Management: Implement and maintain the QMS, ensuring necessary controls are in place. Resource Management: Manage resources in a way that promotes customer satisfaction, process efficiency, and employee satisfaction. Test Program Execution: Ensure test programs are executed safely, on time, and in compliance with customer and industry requirements. Technical Expertise: Act as the primary technical and operational point of contact for customers and stakeholders. Accreditation and Regulatory Compliance: Maintain and extend accreditations (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025 and Nadcap) and ensure compliance with other regulatory requirements. Required Skills and Experience: Management Experience:
8+ years of management experience, preferably with 100+ employees. Technical Expertise:
Strong technical background in the relevant field (e.g., aerospace, energy, defense). Financial Acumen:
Proven ability to manage P&L, budgets, and financial performance Leadership Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Customer Engagement:
Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Seniority level
