Job Summary We are seeking an Anesthesiologist to join our team at CommonSpirit Health in Omaha, Nebraska. The practice offers the opportunity to work alongside colleagues, teach medical students and surgery residents while practicing and directing CRNAs in a full-spectrum practice. This position is well‑suited for physicians seeking a diverse practice, including trauma.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.

Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.

Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Provide clear and concise medical information.

Foster a collaborative and patient‑centered approach to healthcare.

Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records and documentation.

Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.

Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging.

Perform procedures as needed.

Collaborate with specialists for diagnostic evaluation.

Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.

Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.

Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.

Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.

Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.

Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.

Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.

Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.

Participate in quality audits.

Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices.

Engage in ongoing medical education and training.

Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.

Requirements

American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty.

Valid and unrestricted state medical license or license‑eligible.

American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) Board certified or Board eligible.

Ability to obtain Nebraska licensure.

ACLS and BLS certification.

Comfortable supervising CRNAs.

Wide variety of cases: General, Trauma, Orthopedics, Endoscopy, Vascular, Urology, OB, Neuro, Cardiac.

Acute Pain Service.

EPIC EMR.

Academic appointment available from Creighton University School of Medicine.

Team covers main CUMC campus and CHI Midlands Health Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Pay Range $232.88 per hour.
