What You’ll Do

Relationship Development – 20% Maintain a strong presence across Horizon Media teams (Business Solutions, Investment, Traffic, Operations), build cross-team relationships and incorporate relevant extensions

Proactively anticipates and fields requests/questions from internal teams and clients

Apply knowledge of current/previous clients’ business and industry to enhance and further relationships

Act as day-to-day resource for client team to ensure prioritization of projects, understanding of goals and media that aligns with objectives to drive client business

Effectively build trust and establish positive relationships with clients

Act as primary resource for junior team members when faced with challenges navigating conversations with internal and external partners and clients

Collaborate with senior leadership to identify problems and recommend solutions, escalating situations appropriately

Lead larger team projects and initiatives, iterating and improving processes and workflows as needed

Social Media Strategy & Buying Oversight – 25% Oversee RFP creation and review of social partners, proposal analyses, and partner negotiations

Lead strategic social plan development with Digital & Business Solutions teams

Lead team brainstorms to kick off plan and consideration set development

Own and develop POVs around trends, tools, and opportunities within paid social media

Maintain oversight of media-specific documents such as media plans, objectives and strategies decks

Oversee internal team and client-facing financial tracking documents

Manage QA of tracking functionality and creative units to identify and solve issues

Provide education on best practices, social media principles, and industry at large

Team Development & Management – 25% Manage and develop junior team members, creating growth plans and clear career goals

Manage performance reviews, coaching to maximize success, identify training needs and set career development goals

Participate in interview process for junior team member roles

Guide team in setting goals, tasks and timelines, ensuring challenging, level-appropriate projects and opportunities to learn

Guide senior leadership to develop and implement broader team initiatives

Encourage participation in Horizon initiatives and the social community

Campaign Management & Execution – 5% Oversee junior team campaign buying from setup to keyword selection, targeting, optimization, measurement and pacing/reporting; implement QA processes

Support measurement planning and ensure trafficking/site tagging accuracy by junior team members

Maintain knowledge of internal buying and reporting tools, platform interfaces and native tools

Act as main point of escalation for execution challenges

Oversee and approve insertion orders within internal systems

Social Media Planning – 10% Create and present media-specific documents such as RFPs, media plans, objectives and strategies decks

Integrate social insights into planning, including data and analytics

Maintain team deliverables calendars

Reporting – 5% Oversee junior team data analysis and client feedback to provide recommendations

Final check for campaign optimization and pacing; escalate challenges and opportunities as needed

Lead development of processes with Horizon Analytics to standardize data across Horizon accounts

Develop learning agendas including testing methodologies, reporting requirements and optimization requirements; proactively communicate issues

Parse large datasets to provide critical analysis and coach juniors on recommendations vs results

Preferred Skills & Experience 5+ years of paid social media experience

Understanding of marketing principles, analytics and concepts

Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

Experience buying ads on Facebook and Instagram; additional platforms preferred

Exposure to advanced targeting/retargeting tactics in social

Comfort owning and managing budget/investment levels in social media

Experience owning the full social strategy process with partners, clients and internal stakeholders

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to confidently present and sell ideas internally and to clients

Strong experience navigating cross-department relationships

Leadership and supervisory experience in developing media professionals

$2,115.38 to $2,500 a week. A successful applicant’s actual weekly or hourly rate may vary based on skill sets, experience and training, licensure/certifications, and equity.
