Shift: Saturday–Sunday, 7:00am–5:00pm

Job Summary The Phlebotomist / Patient Services Representative provides

quality specimen collection

while ensuring a professional, safe, and compassionate experience for patients. This role serves as the visible representative of the diagnostic services team, performing blood draws, preparing specimens for testing, and maintaining accurate records in a fast‑paced environment. The PSR builds trust with patients through skillful phlebotomy, clear communication, and adherence to established procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Provide quality, accurate blood specimen collection following established clinical and forensic guidelines.

Maintain a professional, safe, and compliant patient care environment.

Collect and analyze patient data while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.

Educate patients and families when needed and ensure a positive patient experience.

Document all specimen collection, processing steps, and required records.

Perform daily site activities under supervision, ensuring timely workflow and adherence to standards.

Support weekend operations (Saturday/Sunday) and work flexibly based on staffing needs, including holidays, on‑call, and overtime.

Demonstrate strong customer service skills and organizational commitment.

Required Experience

Minimum

6 months

experience in phlebotomy or patient services.

Strong customer service background in a clinic, retail, or service environment.

Data entry and keyboarding proficiency.

Ability to perform in a fast‑paced, independent work environment.

Excellent venipuncture skills, including pediatric and geriatric.

Required Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred ( required in CA, NV, WA ).
