DSU/PACU/Peri-Anesthesia Patient Care Associate

Essential Functions
Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy within established time frames.
Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.
Interacts with patients and their families effectively.
Helps patients with basic hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
Assists with turning, repositioning, and moving patients between bed and wheelchair.
Listens to patient concerns and reports them to the nurses.
Qualifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (preferred).
Certified Medical Assistant (National Certification, preferred).
Emergency Medical Technician—Paramedic (Massachusetts) (preferred).
Nursing Assistant (LNA, New Hampshire) (preferred).
Experience 1–2 years of experience in patient care/elder care (preferred).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Strong patient/customer service skills.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
Proficient computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records.

Pay Range: $18.22–$26.06 per hour
