Patient Care Associate | Orthopedics | MGH Join to apply for the Patient Care Associate role at Mass General Brigham.

Essential Functions

Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame and/or as requested.

Complete all documentation in the medical record as required.

Interacts with patients and their families effectively.

Helps patients with several basic hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.

Assists with repositioning patients in bed and moving them between bed and wheelchair.

Listens to any health concerns patients may have and reports those concerns to the nurses.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred).

No experience in lieu of a degree.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred.

Certified Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician – Basic (Massachusetts) preferred.

Nursing Assistant (LNA – Massachusetts) preferred.

1–2 years of experience in patient care/elder care (preferred).

Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.

Knowledge of medical terminology.

Strong patient/customer service skills.

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Proficient computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records.
