Director of Sales – North America Job Summary Pulpdent’s Director of Sales for North America is responsible for leading and driving sales growth, market expansion, and revenue generation across the North American region. The Director of Sales plays a critical role in developing and executing strategic sales initiatives, building and leading a high‑performing sales team, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders including Pulpdent’s dealer‑distribution partners. The Director of Sales reports directly to ownership.
Essential Functions
Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share across the North American territory
Lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales professionals to drive performance, exceed sales targets, and deliver exceptional customer service
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, dental practices, distributors, and industry influencers to drive brand awareness and loyalty
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships and market expansions, to drive business growth and profitability
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including marketing, product development, operations, and customer service, to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic plan, customer needs and market trends
Provide strategic input and insights to senior leadership on market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform product development and business strategy
Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to track progress and drive accountability
Responsible for on‑site product/sales training for new regional managers and continuous training of sales personnel including co‑travel
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field required, MBA or advanced degree preferred
Minimum 8‑10 years of experience cultivating relationships in the dental industry
Dental sales field experience required; sales team management experience preferred
Proven track record of success with hands on management and an ability to lead, motivate and inspire sales team to achieve sales goals
Demonstrated ability to execute strategic sales plans including new product launches
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with ability to utilize data to identify insights and problem solve
Possess a strong understanding of the current market and clinical applications of dental materials
Familiarity with group practices and experience with DSO sales
Experience working cross collaboratively internally and with dental dealers
In depth familiarity with Customer Relationship Management software
Strong organization, presentation and collaboration skills
Experience organizing/executing national sales meetings preferred
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Willingness to travel 30‑50% of the time
Attend regularly scheduled dental meetings across the US
Ability and experience working remotely, managing remote team
