Job Description The Vice President, Global Business Development will serve as a key member of the revenue leadership team, responsible for building and leading a world‑class Business Development Representative (BDR) organization across insightsoftware's global operations. This strategic role will drive pipeline generation, optimize conversion metrics, and establish best‑in‑class processes that fuel sustainable revenue growth across all business units. This is a remote opportunity and you will report into the Chief Operations Officer.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership

Design and execute the global BDR strategy aligned with company revenue objectives and growth targets

Build and scale a high‑performing BDR organization across multiple regions and time zones

Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations leadership to optimize lead generation, qualification, and handoff processes

Establish territory design, capacity planning, and resource allocation models to maximize pipeline coverage

Drive alignment between BDR activities and broader go‑to‑market strategies across product lines and business units

Team Development & Management

Recruit, develop, and retain top BDR talent globally, building a strong pipeline for future sales leadership roles

Implement comprehensive onboarding, training, and career development programs

Foster a performance‑driven culture with clear accountability, coaching, and continuous improvement

Design and manage compensation structures that drive the right behaviors and outcomes

Build and develop frontline BDR management team with strong coaching and leadership capabilities

Operational Excellence

Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including pipeline generation, conversion rates, activity metrics, and lead quality

Establish data‑driven forecasting and pipeline management disciplines

Create scalable processes and playbooks that enable consistent execution across the global team

Partner with Marketing to optimize campaign effectiveness and lead quality

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Sales leadership to ensure seamless lead handoffs and maintain high conversion rates from BDR‑sourced pipeline

Collaborate with Marketing on integrated campaign planning, lead scoring, and account‑based marketing strategies

Partner with Revenue Operations on territory planning, system optimization, and performance analytics

Coordinate with Product and Customer Success teams to ensure BDRs have deep product knowledge and customer insights

Qualifications Required Experience

10+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development, with at least 5 years leading BDR/SDR organizations

Proven track record of building and scaling high‑performing BDR teams in high‑growth technology companies

Experience managing global, distributed teams across multiple regions

Deep understanding of B2B SaaS sales cycles, pipeline metrics, and demand generation

Demonstrated success in driving pipeline growth and improving conversion metrics

Strong analytical skills with ability to leverage data to drive decisions and improve performance

Leadership Competencies

Exceptional people leadership skills with proven ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent

Strategic thinker who can translate business objectives into actionable BDR strategies

Strong executive presence with excellent communication and presentation skills

Collaborative approach with ability to influence and align cross‑functional stakeholders

Results‑oriented leader who drives accountability while building an engaging team culture

Change management experience, comfortable operating in dynamic, fast‑paced environments

Technical & Functional Skills

Expert knowledge of sales engagement platforms and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)

Understanding of modern sales technology stack including intent data, conversation intelligence, and sales intelligence tools

Strong business acumen with ability to connect BDR activities to revenue outcomes

Experience with sales methodologies and their application to BDR processes
