Position Summary
MicroAge is a dynamic and results-driven
Regional Director of Sales
to lead our sales operations across the
Southwest Region , including Arizona, Nevada, and surrounding areas. This strategic leadership role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and managing a high-performing sales team.
The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about building strong client relationships, and excels at developing sales talent.
Candidates must reside in the Greater Phoenix area , as this role requires regular travel throughout the region.
Key Skills and Competencies
Lead and grow a regional sales territory across the Southwest.
Manage and mentor a high-performing sales team to meet revenue, gross profit, and strategic goals.
Act as an Account Executive (“player/coach”) until initial revenue targets are achieved.
Proven success selling IT solutions: cloud services, managed services, cybersecurity, infrastructure, SaaS, and networking.
Experience with major technology vendors (e.g., Cisco, HPE, Dell, Microsoft, VMware, Palo Alto Networks).
Strong leadership in hiring, onboarding, and developing regional sales teams.
Expertise in pipeline management, forecasting, and achieving regional quotas.
Ability to build trusted relationships with mid-market and enterprise clients, including C-level stakeholders.
Experience expanding VAR/MSP ecosystems through strategic partnerships.
Strong business acumen and ability to align sales strategy with company objectives.
Skilled in negotiating complex contracts, licensing agreements, and SLAs.
Develop go-to-market playbooks and coaching frameworks to help RAMs grow their book of business.
Collaborate with marketing and vendor alliances to activate regional campaigns and events.
Required Experience
10+ years of IT sales experience, with 5+ years in leadership roles managing regional teams.
Proven success in VAR, MSP, or SI (Systems Integrator) environments.
Experience with recurring revenue models (MSP bundles, NaaS, XaaS).
Deep understanding of modern IT architectures (cloud, cybersecurity, SASE, SD-WAN).
History of quota overachievement and double-digit revenue growth.
Familiarity with key industry verticals (healthcare, finance, education, manufacturing) is a plus.
Experience leading local marketing and partner-led events to drive pipeline and brand awareness.
