Job Overview
The Service Technician plays a vital role in maintaining and repairing physical elements of the property to meet company standards and legal requirements. Responsibilities include diagnosing and addressing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, and household appliances issues. The Technician supports the Resident Service Director with preventative maintenance, timely completion of apartment make‑readies, and high‑quality customer service.
We are hiring across multiple properties. Candidates will be considered based on qualifications and alignment with current company needs.
Key Responsibilities
Perform repairs and maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical wiring, plumbing fixtures, appliances, drywall, carpentry, flooring, exterior structures, and other essential property components.
Monitor, prioritize, and complete service requests while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Assist in apartment make‑readies to meet company move‑in standards.
Work with the Resident Service Director to implement preventative maintenance programs and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Repair and replace apartment materials or address maintenance requests across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, interior and exterior structures, appliances, and make‑readies.
Paint interior and exterior structures, repair sheetrock, and woodwork with carpenter tools.
Respond promptly to all on‑call pages/requests.
Maintain property curb appeal by picking up grounds and ensuring clean, well‑kept exteriors.
Inventory and Supplies Management
Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies in accordance with company policies.
Assist in inventory tracking and recommend improvements to enhance repair efficiency.
Ensure that all required logs, paperwork, or checklists related to inventory tracking or hazardous chemicals are completed.
Compliance and Reporting
Ensure all maintenance activities follow safety standards and company guidelines.
Complete necessary documentation, logs, and checklists related to maintenance tasks and inventory tracking.
Report any maintenance issues and concerns to the supervisor promptly.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical Demands: stand, walk, sit, use tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, communicate effectively; occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Work Environment: noise is generally moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 2 years experience in residential or commercial maintenance or related fields.
HVAC or EPA Certification required.
Valid Driver’s License.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, special events, and on‑call shifts.
Competencies

Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
Expertise in maintenance areas, including pools, landscaping, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
